Stellantis lists the Giulia's successor as "under study," and the current sedan will remain in the lineup through 2028, the automaker's 2030 roadmap slide indicates. The confirmation frames the model's future as tentative even as the brand keeps the current Giulia on sale and restores the Quadrifoglio nameplate.
The 2030 roadmap slide published earlier this year outlines five Alfa Romeo projects: a facelifted Junior, a Tonale replacement, a premium hatch, Bottega Fuoriserie projects, and a D-segment car described in company materials as "under study." Certain outlets quote an Alfa Romeo spokesperson saying the company is planning "future evolutions of the Giulia and Stelvio in the D-segment," but Stellantis has not announced a firm successor strategy or production timeline.

Alfa Romeo introduced the Giulia in 2015 and updated it mid-cycle with a refresh that arrived in late 2022 for the 2024 model year. Reports have suggested several possible directions for a replacement, including a fastback crossover; patent drawings previously circulated showing that silhouette. Those proposals, however, now sit alongside Stellantis' cautious public posture, with the company evidently deferring a final decision while broader product planning continues.
Renderings borrow a BMW body
Separately, a set of digital renderings by Theottle on YouTube imagines a next-generation Giulia using the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe as a base model. The illustrations retain the 4 Series Gran Coupe's side-window profile and sloping roofline while overlaying Alfa-specific styling cues: the brand's triangular grille treatment, new headlight shapes, flush door handles, paired round taillights, an integrated ducktail spoiler and Alfa Romeo–style wheel designs. Theottle's clip documents the artist's process and identifies the 4 Series Gran Coupe as the foundation for the composite images.

Those renderings are not official and do not indicate a production direction. A successor built on BMW's CLAR underpinnings would require cross-manufacturer platform agreements that have not been disclosed. Industry commentary and fan artwork should be treated as speculative unless confirmed by Alfa Romeo or Stellantis.
Stellantis' public roadmap keeps a D-segment Alfa "under study," leaving timing and architecture for the Giulia's successor open.
For now, Alfa Romeo continues to sell the current Giulia into the 2026 model year in the United States. The brand's U.S. website lists two trims: the base Giulia and the Giulia Veloce Package. Pricing starts at $44,995 for rear-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive offered as a $2,000 option.
