Huawei introduced the Pura 90 Plus in China on 28 October 2026, positioning it between the Pura 90 and the Pura 90 Pro. The handset's headline features are a Kirin 9025 chipset and a 1-inch type 50MP main sensor with an f/1.4-4.0 variable aperture.

The company describes the Kirin 9025 as an overhauled successor to the Kirin 9020 from the Pura 80 series, with a claimed 20 percent increase in performance. That chip is paired with 12GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB, 512GB or 1TB, and the phone ships with HarmonyOS 7 and Huawei's Celia voice assistant.

Hardware and optics

The Pura 90 Plus uses a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED panel with a 2,848 × 1,276 pixel resolution and a variable 1 to 120Hz refresh rate. The display is protected by second-generation Kunlun Glass and holds a 13MP front-facing camera in a punch-hole cutout.

On the back, the 50MP main sensor takes the lead. It is joined by a 48MP telephoto module that offers up to 4x optical zoom, doubles as a macro lens and has an f/2.1 aperture. The third rear module is a 40MP ultrawide with a 13mm equivalent field of view.

Design borrows the rounded frame from the Pura 80 Pro while adopting the more expressive colorways of the Pura 90 family. Huawei lists Sunset Purple, Dawn Gold, Snow White and Obsidian Black as the available finishes.

Other hardware highlights include IP68 and IP69 ingress protection, satellite connectivity and a 5,700mAh battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging support.

Pura 90 Plus pricing starts at CNY 5,499 for the 256GB model and rises to CNY 6,999 for the 1TB version. Open sales in China begin on October 31.
