Tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo says OnePlus is preparing a Turbo Pro phone that could arrive around the end of the year, and the leak suggests it will borrow heavily from the recently unveiled OnePlus 16. Digital Chat Station initially posted the details and later edited the message to "good morning," a change that often follows a reveal the brand would rather keep private. OnePlus previously launched the Turbo 6 in China in January; that model later formed the basis for the Nord 6, which launched in April.
Leaked specifications and how they line up with the OnePlus 16
The leak lists a 6.78-inch flat 1.5K display with a 185Hz refresh rate. The term 1.5K denotes a resolution above standard 1080p but below a conventional QHD panel, and a 185Hz refresh rate refers to how often the display updates per second. The reported chipset is a 3nm Qualcomm SM8845 Pro, a chip that has not been officially announced. That same chipset is rumored to be used in the iQOO Z12 Turbo and, according to those reports, may be marketed under the Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Pro names.

Camera details include a 200MP main sensor described as large. A larger sensor generally means more surface area for light capture, which manufacturers cite to improve image quality in low light, though the leak does not provide specific sensor dimensions or lens details. Battery capacity is reported at a minimum of 9,000 mAh, with engineering samples reportedly reaching as high as 10,000 mAh. The tip also mentions an external cooling fan accessory, which may attach via a case, suggesting OnePlus could offer additional thermal management for sustained workloads.
Several of these headline specs match the OnePlus 16: screen size, refresh rate, 200MP main camera resolution, and battery capacity are all reported to be the same. The notable difference in the leaks is the chipset: the OnePlus 16 ships with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, whereas the Turbo Pro is linked to the unannounced SM8845 Pro variant. The leak does not include definitive confirmation of the SM8845 Pro’s marketing name or performance characteristics.
It remains unclear what OnePlus will call the new phone—Turbo Pro or Turbo 7 Pro are possibilities in the rumor—and whether the model will be sold outside China. The Turbo 6 was released internationally as the Nord 6, but the leak offers no confirmation that the Turbo Pro will follow the same path. We will report further details if and when OnePlus or other credible sources confirm them.
