Oppo Find X10 Ultra Leak: 200MP Periscope Camera Tested

Picture a smartphone that treats telephoto like a full-blown camera system. That’s the image leaking out of Oppo’s R&D labs: periscope modules pushing sensor sizes and pixel counts into territory we typically reserve for mains.

What the rumor mill is whispering

According to fresh leaks, Oppo is experimenting with a 200MP periscope telephoto sensor around 1/1.3 inches for a next flagship widely believed to be the Find X10 Ultra. The company hasn’t stopped there. Engineers are also said to be testing a bolder 200MP option with an even larger 1/1.12-inch sensor, and there’s talk of a Samsung HPC sensor being on the table as well.

Why does sensor size matter? Bigger sensors capture more light. More light means cleaner detail, better dynamic range and stronger low-light performance. Stick 200 million pixels on top and you’ve got flexibility: aggressive pixel binning for low light, or true high-res crops when you want them.

Leak details also point to a second periscope telephoto. This one reportedly uses a 50MP Samsung GNB sensor measuring about 1/1.95 inches. That’s notably larger than the secondary telephoto hardware in the Find X9 Ultra, which paired a 50MP unit with a 1/2.75-inch sensor and offered 10x optical zoom.

Context helps. The Find X9 Ultra used a 200MP primary telephoto with a 1/1.28-inch sensor, so the rumored 1/1.12-inch option would be a step up for photon capture. Smaller fractions on sensor specs matter; they translate into tangible improvements when light gets scarce or when you push digital zoom.

There are engineering trade-offs. Bigger sensors demand wider optics, thicker modules and careful stabilization. Heat and processing load climb when you feed flagship ISP engines with 200MP frames. So yes, the specs sound exciting. But the final product will come down to software tuning: color science, optical corrections and how the phone stitches pixels together.

One more detail: while the device hasn’t been officially named, multiple signals point to this being the Find X10 Ultra lineage. And if timelines hold, Oppo may reveal the phone in the first quarter of 2027.
