Leaked Images Show Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 3 Design

Leaked photographs circulating online show that Samsung's next Galaxy SmartTag adopts a squarer profile and drops the built-in keyring hole that characterized earlier models. The images, shared by SammyGuru and reported by Zoomit, reveal a notably different third-generation tracker.

Samsung introduced the original Galaxy SmartTag in 2021 and followed with a second-generation model in 2023. The newly leaked shots suggest the SmartTag 3 will arrive in two colors and will no longer include the dedicated cutout for attaching to keychains or straps. Instead, the tracker appears as a freestanding puck that buyers would attach to items using protective cases with integrated rings.

The device shows a central button bearing Samsung branding and a metallic-looking surface. That button seems to be the most prominent design element on the face of the tracker.

Because SmartTag 3 lacks a built-in keyring hole, buyers will need protective cases with attachment rings to connect the tracker to keys or luggage.

Samsung has not announced an official launch date or pricing. Zoomit notes the company has not provided details, and the report says the SmartTag 3 may be unveiled in roughly one to two months.
