Why Xiaomi thinks tablets need a new brain

The Xring O3 is the headline. It is a ten-core CPU built from two C1-Ultra cores at 4.35 GHz, four C1-Premium cores at 3.68 GHz, and four C1-Pro cores at 3.15 GHz. Graphics are handled by a 16-core Mali-G2-Ultra. Early Geekbench runs show multithreaded scores north of 14,000. Xiaomi even suggests combined CPU and GPU muscle is approaching Apple s M5 class.

Display choices aim for clarity and focus. The standard model uses a glossy 13.3-inch LCD at 3408 by 2272 pixels, a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 144 Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness reaches 1,000 nits. For people who work under harsh lights, Xiaomi offers a Soft Light variant that uses a nano-textured panel to cut reflections.

Battery life and I O are generous. A 12,000 mAh battery powers the device and supports 120 watt wired charging. There are six microphones and eight speakers on board for conferencing and media. Imaging includes a 50 megapixel main camera and a 32 megapixel front camera. The USB-C port supports DP-in, so the tablet can also act as an external monitor for a laptop or handheld console.
