Pick one up for the price of a night out and you suddenly have a 24-inch gaming display on your desk. It sounds impossible. Yet Hisense's new N24 (2027 Edition) quietly pushes that idea into reality.

Small screen, loud value

The N24 is built around a 23.8-inch IPS panel with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and a blistering 180Hz refresh rate. Motion stays smooth. Colors remain stable across wide 178-degree viewing angles. For everyday work and fast-paced games, that combo hits the sweet spot between responsiveness and clarity.

Under the hood the monitor uses an ELED backlight that delivers about 300 nits of brightness and a 1500:1 contrast ratio. Hisense says the panel covers roughly 99% of the sRGB gamut and 90% of DCI-P3, and it reproduces 16.7 million colors. In plain terms: streaming, photo edits, and AAA titles will look better than you might expect from an entry-level screen.

Gamers get practical bells and whistles too. AMD FreeSync helps keep tearing at bay by matching the display to the GPU. The on-screen menu offers game-centric tweaks like variable response times and dark scene enhancement, which brightens shadowed areas without blowing out highlights. Little touches like these can change whether you spot an enemy or miss a nade.

Long sessions are also addressed. Hisense implements DC dimming and a hardware low blue light solution so screens don’t take on an ugly yellow cast when you reduce blue-light output. The monitor carries TÜV Rheinland certifications for Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free operation, which reads like a comfort promise for evening use.

Connectivity keeps things simple: one HDMI and one VGA port to support modern rigs and older hardware alike. The stand is tool-less and quick-release, allowing tilt from -5 degrees to 20 degrees, and there’s support for 100 x 100mm VESA mounting if you prefer an arm or custom rig.

Price matters. The N24 is currently listed in China at 499 yuan, which converts to about €65. Given that figure, Hisense is clearly aiming this model at buyers who want a capable display without spending much.

Meanwhile, competitors are moving upmarket. TCL has rolled out Tandem WOLED models with higher resolutions and refresh rates, plus premium audio. That contrast highlights the N24’s pitch: straightforward performance at a tiny price. Want cutting-edge pixels and speakers? Look elsewhere. Want a no-frills, fast FHD monitor that does both work and play well? This is one to consider.

Is €65 enough to change the budget monitor market? Maybe not alone. But when a known TV maker treats monitors like a value product rather than an afterthought, the ripple effects will be worth watching.
