Honor already said the Magic9 series will debut in September. The new rumor fills in several blanks. The standard Magic9 is said to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, the same silicon the Magic8 used. Expect a compact 6.36 inch display at a "1.5K" resolution and a battery described only as "large." That last detail is vague on purpose. Supply quirks in RAM and storage components could explain why Honor might reuse a proven platform for the base model.

The bigger sibling is where Honor seems to be turning up the heat. Leaks call it either the Magic9 Pro or Magic9 Pro Max. It reportedly arrives with a 6.8 inch "1.5K" screen and the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro at its core. If those chipset details hold, Honor is aiming squarely at flagship performance and better thermal headroom for sustained workloads.

Camera rumors are bold. The premium model may pack two 200MP cameras: a main sensor sized at 1/1.28" and a periscope telephoto around 1/1.4". That suggests Honor wants to compete on resolution and optical reach, not just marketing megapixels. Additions tipped by insiders include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, 3D face unlock, high-power wireless charging, and robust water resistance.

Battery talk is striking. The leak pins the Pro model between 8,000 and 8,999 mAh. That is enormous by current flagship standards and would reshape expectations for all-day use and wireless charging ambitions.
