Meta has released Style Sketch, an AI-powered fashion app that builds virtual wardrobes from users' Instagram photos and suggests outfit combinations.
Style Sketch connects to Instagram to assemble a virtual wardrobe from photos users have posted. Users can also add garments by photographing them, recording a short video, or uploading images from their phone gallery.

The app, according to its description, generates outfit combinations based on the items in a user's wardrobe and their stated style. It lets users try garments on a realistic model matched to body shape and skin tone.
Style Sketch is available on iOS and Android in Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand.
Meta faces existing competitors that use AI to digitize wardrobes and suggest outfits; startups such as Alta and tools in Google Photos already offer similar features.
Rather than relying on novelty, Meta will likely emphasize Style Sketch's integration with Instagram, where many users already keep a visual record of their personal style.

Users can pick a specific garment from their virtual wardrobe to receive tailored pairing suggestions instead of random recommendations.
The app can also plan travel outfits: users enter destination, trip length and planned activities to receive a daily outfit plan that the app says accounts for weather forecasts and the itinerary.
Rollout remains limited to Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand.
