What the latest leak actually says
According to tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, Honor's upcoming Power3 will carry a battery of at least 10,000 milliamp hours. For context, the current Power2 ships with a 10,080 milliamp-hour cell. In plain terms: the sequel is unlikely to deliver the dramatic jump some hoped for, but it won’t be a step backward either.
Numbers tell part of the story. Real-world feel tells the rest. A marginal increase or parity with the Power2 still buys long uptime. Heavy users will still appreciate it. Casual users will hardly notice the difference.
Other details are edging into view too. The display appears to have grown modestly, from 6.79 inches to roughly 7 inches diagonally. Expect a flat panel, not a curved showpiece. And under the hood, Honor seems poised to stick with MediaTek's Dimensity 8-series family, the same lineup that powered the Power2 via the Dimensity 8500 Elite. Whether Honor will reuse that exact chip or move to a yet-unconfirmed Dimensity 8600 is still up in the air.

So why did earlier rumors stretch to 11,000 or even 12,000? Ambition. Pushing battery capacity is a headline-grabber. But engineering, thermal management, weight and device thickness all push back. The result: good intentions colliding with physical trade-offs.
Timing matters too. If Honor follows a roughly annual cadence, the Power3 remains some months away from launch, leaving room for spec adjustments and further leaks. Expect more fragments of information to surface as we approach a formal announcement.
Bottom line: don’t count the Power3 out. A 10,000 milliamp-hour class battery still lands the phone squarely in the endurance champion territory. It may not shatter expectations, but it could deliver exactly what many buyers want most—long, reliable battery life without radical compromises in design or performance.
