Leaker Smart Pikachu recently surfaced details suggesting Oppo is testing a Find X10 Ultra with a 200-megapixel LOFIC large-sensor main camera. Short sentence. Big implication. If true, this would be one of the boldest sensor bets we’ve seen in a mainstream flagship.

A camera-driven gamble for the top tier

There’s more. The same leak claims the Ultra’s periscope telephoto will also be a 200-megapixel unit, now with upgraded optical image stabilization. A month earlier, Digital Chat Station described a prototype that carried dual periscope telephotos: one roughly 1/1.3-inch 200MP module and a 50MP super telephoto near 1/1.95 inches, reportedly capable of 10x optical zoom. Complementing these is said to be a 50MP ultra-wide shooter and a 50MP selfie camera.

Specs like a 6.89-inch 2K LTPO BOE screen with ultra-narrow bezels and BT.2020 color support have been floated too. Under the hood, whispers point to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro and a headline-grabbing battery around 8,500mAh. Timing remains unclear, and Oppo may hold this Ultra back from the September reveal expected for the Find X10 family in China.

Why would Oppo take this route? Two words: differentiation and optics. With many brands reportedly rethinking Ultra-tier launches because memory and component costs keep climbing, a camera-first Ultra would be a statement product — one that competes on imaging rather than on trimmed margins alone.

Price matters as much as pixels. The tipster suggests Oppo is targeting the ultra-premium bracket around 10,000 yuan, which is about €1,300. That would put the Find X10 Ultra in the same price neighborhood as Oppo’s Find N6 foldable, which starts near 9,999 yuan, roughly €1,300.
