Imagine a phone you only charge once a week and still worry about battery life less than ever. That’s the promise Poco is teasing ahead of its August 4 launch in India — and the brand’s Flipkart microsite has just lifted the curtain on most of the details.

What Poco packed into this power play

The headline is obvious: an 8,000mAh battery. Yet the handset keeps a surprising profile at just 8.45mm thick. How did they manage it? A mix of engineering trade-offs and a focus on practical hardware rather than flagship frills.

Display first. The M8 Power sports a 6.9-inch AMOLED with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Touch feels immediate thanks to a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and visibility is solid with up to 1,800 nits peak brightness and 1,200 nits in HBM mode. An in-display fingerprint sensor lives under the panel.

Under the hood sits the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4, paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Charging is reasonably quick for a giant cell: 45W wired charging and 22.5W reverse charging are supported.

The camera setup is straightforward: a 50-megapixel OmniVision Light Fusion 400 on the rear and an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. Durability looks handled too, with Gorilla Glass 7i on the front and an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.

The microsite confirms four years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
