To mark 25 years of Xbox, Microsoft unveiled a special edition Series X dressed in translucent green. The shell and matching controller borrow the color and spirit of the very first Xbox, with the power LED and logo lighting up green and a subtle 25-year badge sitting on the console's front face. It looks like a modern console, but it feels like a memory.

Is this only about looks? Not at all. Inside it's the full Series X experience: the same performance and features players expect, paired with a one terabyte internal drive for games and storage. In short, the hardware hasn't been compromised for the aesthetic.

The controller is where the nostalgia gets playful. Colored face buttons stay true to the classic layout, while the triggers echo the original large controller's black-and-white styling. Small choices, big effect. They turn a shell redesign into a genuine tribute rather than a poster on the wall.

Microsoft hasn't released a firm price or an exact launch date yet. What it has said is that the console and matching controller will arrive in November. Collectors and long-time fans are already sizing up their setups and deciding whether to upgrade for looks, for sentiment, or for both.
