Xiaomi has opened the global beta program for HyperOS 4 across seven flagship phones, one month after the operating system first launched in China. The company began accepting registrations for the first test phase immediately, with additional devices added in a scheduled second stage.
The initial sign-up is open now for Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra and the Leica Leitzphone. Registration for the second phase will begin on 26 Shahrivar (17 September) for Xiaomi 17T, Xiaomi 17T Pro, Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra.

Rollout and how to join
The beta release is limited to Global and European Economic Area ROMs at this stage; Xiaomi says other regions will be added in the coming weeks. Capacity for the testing program is restricted, and interested users must apply through the Beta testing section of the Xiaomi Community app.
As with any preview software, HyperOS 4 beta builds may contain bugs and stability issues. Xiaomi advises users to back up their data before installing test firmware.
Returning from HyperOS 4 to the stable HyperOS 3 is not a simple rollback and requires a full device flash.
