Cadillac has unveiled the Escalade Noir Edition, a strictly limited, factory-blackened version of its full-size luxury SUV that will see just 20 examples built and sold exclusively in Japan. The announcement, published 1 November 2026 and attributed to Cadillac and General Motors, confirms the Noir Edition is based on the Escalade Sport trim and will not be offered in the United States.

The Noir treatment is comprehensive. The SUV wears Cadillac's Black Raven paint under a bespoke matte paint protection film supplied by XPEL, giving the body a satin finish from the factory. Grille elements, badges and exterior trim are finished in high-gloss black to contrast with the satin body, and the vehicle rolls on 22-inch multi-spoke wheels in a Midnight Noir finish.

Inside, the theme continues with Jet Black leather across the seats, door panels, steering wheel and armrests, accompanied by blacked-out trim throughout. The cabin retains the 55-inch curved LED Horizon display that spans pillar to pillar, and the Escalade Noir Edition includes the 21-speaker AKG Studio audio system with integrated amplifier and subwoofer.

The Noir Edition leaves the drivetrain unchanged. Cadillac confirms the 6.2-liter V8 with Dynamic Fuel Management and direct injection remains standard, rated at 420 horsepower (426 metric horsepower) and 460 lb-ft (624 Nm) of torque. Those figures are paired with a 0 to 60 mph time of 5.9 seconds and a factory top speed of 130 mph (210 kph).

General Motors has opened order books for the 20-unit run in Japan. Each Escalade Noir Edition starts at 21,000,000 Japanese yen. The company has said nothing about adding the Noir package to other markets.

U.S. special editions and pricing

While American buyers will not receive the Noir Edition, General Motors is offering a different limited run for the U.S. and Canada. The Escalade 125th Anniversary Collector Series will be built in 252 units split evenly between the two markets, with 126 examples finished in Midnight Stone Frost and 126 in Vibrant White Tricoat. Each Collector Series vehicle carries a numbered interior plaque and allows buyers to select a specific VIN and historical year sequence, with a U.S. starting price of $239,000 and an approximate Canadian price of C$325,000.

Reporting and specifications are based on Cadillac and General Motors releases attributed to the 1 November 2026 announcement. The Escalade Sport baseline for the Noir Edition has a U.S. starting price of $106,195 for comparison.
