Nikita Chuicko, the virtual artist better known as "kelsonik" on social media, has posted CGI renderings that rework the upcoming 2027 or 2028 Mercedes-AMG GT SUV, depending on the market, imagining the dedicated electric model as a petrol-powered GT 63 variant. The project foregrounds a clear contrast: the production SUV sits on a dedicated EV architecture and has no direct analogue within the Mercedes-Benz lineup, yet the renders graft traditional internal combustion cues onto that electric platform.

The GT SUV shares a family resemblance with the 2027 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe, but in Mercedes-Benz's official line the SUV is an EV-first proposition. Chuicko's images belong to his ongoing CGI series that plays with such expectations, taking premium and ultra-luxury novelties and recasting them as either simplified 'Pure Stock' models or heavily modified custom builds.
From Pure Stock experiments to a hypothetical GT 63
Earlier in the series the artist showed the new AMG GT SUV stripped back to basic features such as steel wheels, manual transmission and hand-cranked windows. In his latest pass he pivots the other way, adding bespoke visual mods that read as performance upgrades while also signalling a mechanical reversal.

The rendered changes include a reworked front bumper with enlarged side intakes, much larger Y-spoke aftermarket wheels with crimson brake calipers, and a revised rear lighting treatment that swaps the production model's round LEDs with three-pointed stars for two sets of triple horizontal LEDs. The diffuser in these images carries four exhaust outlets, the clearest cue that the concept has been imagined as an internal combustion vehicle rather than an electric one.
Those visual decisions frame the SUV as an AMG GT 63-style machine, a hypothetical step back from the electric powertrain Mercedes has planned. The comparison is stark: Mercedes advertises a 1,153-hp figure for the electric AMG GT SUV 63, and Chuicko's imagined ICE conversion is presented as having around half the power of that electric flagship.
The renders appeared on kelsonik's Instagram account and represent a creative thought experiment rather than a manufacturer plan. The images emphasize how styling treatments and drivetrain cues can entirely alter the perceived character of a single model, even when the underlying architecture is electric.
