Digital renderings by Kolesa artist Nikita Chuyko show BMW's next-generation X7 with an evolutionary exterior and indicate the M60 xDrive will remain the flagship, retaining a twin-turbo V8.
The outgoing X7 entered production in late 2018 and received a facelift about four years later. The new model is built on an updated CLAR (Linie Grosse) architecture shared with previous X5, 7 Series, 8 Series and XM models.
The CGIs appear inspired by the latest scooped prototype in M60 xDrive specification and were shared online by Kolesa. The pictured quad tailpipes and large wheels match details seen on the testers.
The current X7 M60i uses a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 with mild-hybrid assistance, rated at 523 horsepower (530 ps/390 kW) and 553 pound-feet (750 Nm) of torque. Peak power is listed at 5,500 to 6,000 rpm and peak torque between 1,800 and 4,600 rpm. An eight-speed automatic drives BMW's xDrive all-wheel-drive system. BMW states 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 155 mph (250 kph).

Reports indicate the next X7 M60 xDrive will likely retain the twin-turbo V8 and mild-hybrid system, with higher output probable but no firm figures disclosed. Any power gains could be constrained by upcoming emission rules such as Euro 7.
BMW is not expected to offer a full M-badged X7; the X7 M60 xDrive should sit at the range top until an Alpina version arrives.
Exterior changes in the renders are evolutionary. The front keeps split lighting units but swaps the main clusters to a vertical layout and shows wider, slimmer daytime running lights. The kidney grille is taller with horizontal slats. The lower bumper intake is wider and shorter and the hood abandons a clamshell form. The design uses winglets in place of conventional door handles and likely drops a split-opening tailgate. Taillights appear shorter and much wider, with the tailgate blending into the rear bumper. Rumors mention optional yellow daytime running lights.

The cabin shown in associated images adopts BMW's recent Panoramic iDrive display and infotainment layout used across several new BMW models, including the i3, 3 Series, iX3 and X5. BMW has not confirmed final interior specifications.
BMW has not announced an unveiling date. Observers expect the new X7 could reach U.S. dealers as a 2028 model, while the outgoing X7 remains listed for 2027.
