Caviar, the Russian firm known for fitting consumer electronics with high-end materials, has launched the Zodiac collection for the foldable iPhone Duo, a configurator-led lineup of 12 zodiac-inspired designs that lets buyers choose the finishes and materials used on the device exterior.

Caviar's Zodiac collection lets buyers fully specify materials for the iPhone Duo exterior via an online configurator.

Customization and materials

The configurator begins by asking the customer to choose one of the 12 astrological signs, which loads a default base design. From that starting point users can change the materials for several exterior components: the frame, the back plate, the zodiac circle, and the central medallion. Frame options include silver, gold plating, and titanium with a black PVD coating; PVD refers to a durable physical vapor deposition finish applied to the metal. Back plates can be forged carbon or leather in several varieties and colors, specifically calfskin, python, and crocodile. Decorative elements such as the zodiac constellation and background panels may be finished with Swarovski crystals, jewelry enamel, or meteorite inlays, and Caviar also offers textured metal patterns like clous de Paris and chevron.

Pricing and ordering

Because the available materials vary widely, final prices depend on the customer's selections. Default configurations in the online tool sit well above standard retail hardware: the base Capricorn model, which Caviar describes as using a black titanium frame and a forged carbon back plate, is estimated at $14,800. The Aquarius base model, which substitutes silver and a navy crocodile leather back, is estimated at $18,615. All base models listed in the configurator include 256GB of internal storage. After a user completes a design the website generates an alphanumeric code; to place the order the customer must send that code to a Caviar sales manager, who confirms the final price based on the chosen materials and initiates the custom build.

In related moves, Caviar recently introduced a separate iPhone Duo collection priced at $90,000 that incorporates 18K gold, platinum, and diamonds, and has also offered ultra-luxury Black Edition iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo models without cameras.
