Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Electric Toothbrush 2 Pro to the Chinese market, combining a full-color display with a claimed 190 days of battery life. The new model brings a handful of hardware and software refinements to Xiaomi's personal-care lineup.
The toothbrush mounts a full-color screen on its body that shows brushing time and tooth-coverage in real time. Xiaomi says the device's smart monitoring will prompt users if they neglect an area or brush too quickly, issuing messages such as to rebrush a specific quadrant or that the session time is insufficient. The default brushing session is set to four minutes.

Design, motor and pressure monitoring
The Mijia Electric Toothbrush 2 Pro uses a sonic vibrating motor version 2.0 paired with a brush head that Xiaomi describes as having an all-around shock-absorbing structure. The company says this combination improves plaque removal while offering greater flexibility in contact with teeth.
Xiaomi has also added two-sided pressure monitoring. Indicator lights warn when users apply too much or too little pressure, and the toothbrush will automatically reduce its vibration frequency if excessive force is detected to help protect gums and teeth.
The battery charges via USB Type-C in about six hours. According to Xiaomi, a full charge can last up to 190 days. The device carries an IPX8 waterproof rating for rinsing under running water.
On Xiaomi's crowdfunding page the Mijia Electric Toothbrush 2 Pro is priced at 179 yuan (about $25); after the campaign it will retail for 249 yuan (about $35).
