Tipster Smart Pikachu says Huawei's Mate X8 will use the Kirin 9050 Pro and include a 50MP RYYB periscope telephoto.

The Mate X8 is tipped to arrive as an 8-inch foldable powered by the Kirin 9050 Pro, the same chip used in the Mate 90 Pro Max and Mate 90 RS.

The leak claims a 50MP main camera with ultra-high dynamic range, a 50MP RYYB periscope telephoto camera and a red maple leaf original-color lens. The tipster also mentions telephoto macro photography and slow-motion recording support.

Earlier reports have suggested a 6.5-inch cover display, an 8.15-inch inner screen and a battery capacity exceeding 6,000mAh. The latest tip does not mention those specifications, so they remain unconfirmed.

Smart Pikachu also names a second-generation MatePad Mini with 5G connectivity and a high-refresh-rate display. The original MatePad Mini launched in September 2025 with an 8.8-inch display and support for cellular calls and mobile data.

The tipster has not shared the MatePad Mini 2's screen size, chipset or expected price, leaving much of its hardware unspecified.

Huawei is also said to be working on a foldable PC and a new pair of headphones. Neither product has been identified by name, and no specifications or launch pairing with the Mate X8 have been reported.

Smart Pikachu says Huawei still has several flagship and collector's edition products planned for November. Huawei has not announced launch dates or prices for any of the rumored devices.

Last year's Mate X7 debuted on November 26, so a similar late-November window for the Mate X8 is possible but unconfirmed.
