Mahindra has introduced the Bolero Bold Edition as an accessory package that adds bronze exterior and interior accents plus a rear-view camera to the affordable Bolero SUV in India. The Bold Edition is offered through Mahindra dealerships as a dealer-fit accessory pack; the company has not published a standalone price for the package.

What the Bold Edition includes and where the Bolero sits

The Bold Edition applies bronze-coloured detailing to a number of visible components: the front bumper inlet, grille, fog lamp surrounds, body claddings, side mirror caps and roof rails. It rides on five-spoke double-aluminium wheels finished to match the body colour, and inside the cabin black leather seats receive bronze stitching and trim accents that continue onto the floor mats. For everyday use the pack also adds a rear-view camera whose image is shown on the vehicle's infotainment screen. While Mahindra positions the Bolero as an economical, boxy alternative to high-end off-road SUVs, the manufacturer warns that buyers should not expect Mercedes G-Class levels of fit, finish or technology; the Bolero nonetheless offers practical passenger and luggage space.

The Bolero itself has been on sale since 2000; the current third generation debuted in 2011 and received its most recent facelift in 2025. The model uses a conventional ladder-frame chassis and is offered alongside other Mahindra designs, including the Taar, which draws visual comparisons to the Jeep Wrangler.

Mechanical details and recent updates

The Bold Edition does not change the Bolero's mechanics. Power comes from the same 1.5-litre three-cylinder diesel engine rated at 76 horsepower and 210 newton metres of torque. All of that torque is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox. In the latest update Mahindra lengthened the Bolero to 3995 millimetres and refreshed the grille for a more modern look. The flagship trim gains 15-inch machined wheels and there are new paint colours, but the vehicle's traditional boxy form remains. Standard equipment includes a 9-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth and a USB-C charging port.

Mahindra lists the Bold Edition as an optional accessories package at authorised dealers in India. The company has not released a price for the package itself. For context, the standard Bolero's on-road price in India varies by trim and configuration between 8.57 lakh rupees and 9.99 lakh rupees, approximately 9,000 USD to 10,500 USD as reported alongside those figures.
