Ford has introduced a Trail package for the 2027 Mustang Mach-E, transferring select Rally-grade hardware to the Select eAWD to give that trim a more rugged specification. The Trail package is exclusive to the Select eAWD and costs $2,295.
The package begins with specially tuned passive struts and springs that raise the front axle 10 millimeters and the rear axle 15 millimeters over the Select and Premium grades (about 0.4 and 0.6 inches). Ford notes these changes improve clearance but do not turn the Mach-E Select eAWD Trail into a true all-road machine.

Also carried over from the Rally grade are 19-inch High Gloss Dark Carbonized Gray as-cast graphics wheels and Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires, plus the Rally steering rack. Visual cues include a Carbon Black lower fascia and a Trail logo on the center armrest. Ford says the Trail is intended to attract buyers put off by the higher starting price of the Rally grade.

The Trail package also makes the 400-watt Pro Power Onboard system standard on Select eAWD, a feature that remains optional on Premium, GT, and Rally grades. Ford lists two notable dealer-fit or dealer-order options: an Interior Protection Package with a cargo area protector and all-weather floor mats, and a Thule Clamp On Cross Bar Kit for carrying cargo boxes, bicycles, or kayaks.

Across the 2027 Mach-E line, Ford has made the extended-range battery standard, raising the entry price to $39,995 versus $37,795 for the 2026 model, a $2,200 increase. Most 2027 Mach-E versions for the US market ship with an 88-kWh battery; the GT and Rally step up to 91 kilowatt-hours.
For 2027 Ford has replaced the previous secondary drive unit with a new front-mounted electric motor design. Ford says the new motor delivers the same performance while lowering cost. The BlueCruise 1.5 driver assistance suite is standard on GT and Rally models and remains an extra-cost option on lesser grades; it includes one year plus 90 days of service. The Connectivity and Security packages are now standard, each with one year of included service.
Paint choices for no extra charge are Shadow Black and Desert Sand. Extra-cost finishes include Velocity Blue Metallic, Race Red, Star White Metallic Tri-coat, Eruption Green Metallic, Adriatic Blue Metallic, and Glacier Gray Metallic. Ford opened order banks for the 2027 Mustang Mach-E on 22 October 2026, expects Trail shipments to begin in the first quarter of 2027, and says EPA driving range estimates will be announced later.
