Mercedes-AMG will unveil the GT SUV, codenamed X591, on October 17, 2026; it shares its underpinnings with the all-new AMG GT 4-Door Coupe.

High-quality renderings by Instagram user @kelsonik and earlier images by @sugardesign_1 have circulated online and broadly match camouflaged prototypes seen on public roads.

The GT SUV’s front fascia appears nearly identical to the GT 4-Door Coupe, with star-studded headlight elements linked by a thin light strip, a Panamericana grille with vertical slats and a central three-pointed star, vertical vents in the bumper and a lower air intake.

Sides retain similar character lines and flush door handles, but the SUV shows taller doors and side windows and discrete roof rails rather than the low-riding coupe profile.

The rear carries the same lighting signature and surrounding trim as the coupe, with an adapted bumper and a less aggressive diffuser; the renderings show a yellow body contrasted by black roof, roof rails, side-window surrounds, grille, wheels, outer edges of the roof spoiler and rear diffuser.

Mercedes says the GT SUV will share the GT 4-Door Coupe powertrain family. The coupe’s top specification uses a tri-motor layout producing 1,153 hp (860 kW/1,169 ps) and 1,475 lb-ft (2,000 Nm), achieves 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) in 2.1 seconds with a 1-foot rollout or 2.4 seconds without it, reaches 186 mph (300 kph) and has a 432-mile (696 km) range with a 106 kWh battery pack.

The SUV is expected to be marginally slower in the same top trim, and a dual-motor option is likely, rated at about 805 hp (600 kW/816 ps) and 1,328 lb-ft (1,800 Nm) in current projections.

Planned hardware highlights include rear-wheel steering, air suspension and semi-active roll stabilization, according to available information and typical AMG specification for the range.

The model is positioned to compete with vehicles such as the Porsche Cayenne Electric. Mercedes will confirm the production name and final specifications at the October 17, 2026 unveiling.
