OUKITEL at IFA 2026: WP63 Rugged Phone Adds Reverse Charging, a Heating Coil and Powerful Camping Light

OUKITEL used IFA 2026 to showcase two unusual new products aimed squarely at outdoor users: the WP63 rugged smartphone and a new solar-powered tablet designed to recharge directly from sunlight.

During our visit to the booth, the company focused on practical features intended for camping, travel and situations where conventional power may not always be available.

WP63 doubles as a power bank

The first product demonstrated to us was the OUKITEL WP63, a rugged smartphone with built-in reverse charging.

According to the representative, the phone can deliver up to 20W reverse charging through a cable, allowing users to recharge another smartphone or compatible device directly from the WP63.

That makes the phone function partly like a portable power bank, which could be particularly useful during camping trips or long periods away from a power socket.

A built-in heating coil is one of its strangest features

The WP63 also includes a small integrated heating coil.

When activated, the coil heats up and can be used similarly to an electric lighter. During the demonstration, the representative specifically mentioned lighting cigarettes as one potential use, while also positioning the feature more generally as a tool for outdoor situations where a conventional lighter may be inconvenient.

It is certainly not a feature commonly found on smartphones and reinforces the WP63’s focus on outdoor utility rather than conventional flagship-phone design.

A large integrated camping light

Another feature built into the WP63 is a powerful camping light.

The representative demonstrated the light at the booth, where it produced significantly more illumination than a typical smartphone flashlight.

For outdoor users, that could make the handset more useful around a campsite or during emergency situations without requiring a separate torch.

Taken together, the reverse charging, heating coil and large light make the WP63 less like a conventional rugged smartphone and more like a multipurpose outdoor tool.

OUKITEL also showed a solar-powered tablet

The second major product presented at the booth was a new solar tablet.

OUKITEL described it as a tablet capable of charging directly through integrated solar technology, reducing dependence on external chargers when used outdoors.

According to the booth representative, the system supports 50W solar charging, and around six hours of suitable sunlight could potentially provide a full charge.

Because the exact model name and full charging specifications were not provided during our demonstration, we are keeping those figures attributed specifically to OUKITEL’s booth presentation rather than expanding them with additional assumptions.

Built for people who spend time away from conventional power

The two products shown to us at IFA followed a very clear theme.

The WP63 can recharge other devices, provide a strong light source and even act as an electric lighter, while the solar tablet is designed to recover power from sunlight.

That combination makes OUKITEL’s IFA 2026 lineup particularly relevant to campers, hikers, travellers and users who spend extended periods away from reliable electricity.

Rather than simply making its devices tougher, OUKITEL appears to be adding features that could reduce the amount of additional equipment users need to carry.

The WP63 is certainly unconventional, but that is also what made it stand out among the many rugged phones we encountered at IFA 2026.
