A faint glassy sheen has started to creep into Samsung's interface. And someone on X has already dropped screenshots from a leaked One UI 9.5 build running on a Galaxy S26.

A shinier skin, not a full makeover

Look closely and you’ll spot softer edges, more translucent panels, and a light, reflective feel that borrows the idea of "glass" without copying anyone outright. Shortcuts and quick tiles seem to float a little more. Backgrounds blur with a gentler radius. Tiny highlights catch the eye. It’s a visual tweak, not a rewrite.

Samsung isn’t chasing a radical redesign. Think revision, not revolution. The company is still rolling out One UI 9 betas — the fifth hit Galaxy S26 devices just days ago — yet work on 9.5 is already underway. Why rush? Because the next Galaxy S27 family may well ship with this version preinstalled. That’s the rumor, and leaks like this one are how the picture sharpens.

What do the screenshots actually show? Subtle translucency across menus, a few refreshed system icons, and slightly tweaked animations that make interactions feel lighter.
