Kia has quietly nudged the price tags on its Sportage electrified range for 2027. Nothing dramatic. Just a few euros here and there, a new technology package, and the same familiar drivetrains doing the heavy lifting. If you follow compact crossover trends, this is exactly the kind of soft reset you’d expect from a model that’s five years into its life cycle.
Small increases, smarter options
Start with the Hybrid family. The entry HEV LX front-wheel-drive now lists at €28,143, plus a €1,375 destination charge. That’s roughly €92 more than the previous listing, a subtle uptick that keeps the Sportage competitive without upsetting the lineup. Mid-spec and upper trims shifted in price too: the S and EX now begin at about €28,811 and €29,707 respectively, owing to their new base front-wheel-drive configuration. Want all-wheel drive? Expect those S and EX AWD variants to begin around €30,259 and €31,199.

Higher trims mostly hold steady. The X-Line kicks off at €32,743 and the Prestige lands near €37,438. Under the hood the HEV remains the same hybrid mix: a 1.6-liter turbo paired with an electric motor and a six-speed automatic, delivering a combined 232 horsepower. Fuel economy is part of the appeal — Kia quotes an EPA-estimated 42 mpg for the LX and 35 mpg combined for the Prestige.
Price nudges and a new tech pack
Kia added a Technology Package to the HEV X-Line, which reads like a small luxury upgrade. Think premium audio, a full 12.3-inch digital cluster, 360-degree cameras, and advanced driver assists. It mirrors the convenience and comfort cues of the gasoline X-Line, and that’s the point: give buyers high-end features without forcing them into the top trim.
- Harman Kardon sound and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster
- 360-degree surround view and navigation
- Blind-spot monitoring and highway driving assist
- Driver seat memory and LED fog lamps

The rest of the HEV range carries over unchanged. Same mechanics, same output, small tweaks in how options are bundled.
As for the plug-in hybrid, numbers move a touch upward too. The PHEV X-Line AWD now starts at roughly €37,343 while the X-Line Prestige AWD begins at about €43,619 — increases of roughly €92 and €184 respectively. The PHEV keeps the same punchy electrified 1.6-liter setup, producing 268 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque, with an EPA-rated electric range of about 34 miles and a combined range up to roughly 756 kilometers.
Trim content on the PHEV isn’t stingy. The base PHEV X-Line brings 19-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, smart power tailgate, wireless smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and heated front seats. The X-Line Prestige piles on luxury touches: dual 12.3-inch screens, a Harman Kardon system, a head-up display, memory seats, ventilated fronts, and added safety sensors and lights.

Curious about the gasoline-only Sportage? Kia has not released full 2027 pricing for the 2.5-liter models yet, but industry signals suggest a modest upward revision is likely. For reference, the current 2026 gasoline LX and EX list about €26,477 and €28,143 respectively, with higher-spec variants ranging into the low-to-mid €30,000s and the X-Pro Prestige near €36,542.
Production of the 2027 Sportage Hybrid continues at Kia’s Georgia plant — a reminder that manufacturing plans evolve as market demand shifts, and that facility’s role has broadened beyond the EV-only ambitions it once had.
Wrap-up? Small price nudges, a smarter options package, and no surprises under the skin. The Sportage remains aimed at buyers who want a practical, efficient crossover with enough tech and polish to feel current — and Kia is betting those buyers will accept a few extra euros for the privilege.

Owned an '24 Sportage HEV for 2 yrs, these tiny price nudges wont make me jump ship. Tech pack is tempting tho, wish AWD was cheaper, sigh.
Is this even worth it? A few euros up, plus a tech pack that should've been standard... 42 mpg for the LX is tempting tho, but feels like nibbling at buyers.
