A November 6, 2026 report by Siddharth cites tipster yeux1122 claiming Samsung will use Snapdragon chipsets in the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra in South Korea.

The report says the Exynos 2700 reportedly outperformed Qualcomm's chipset in Samsung internal tests.

Yeux1122 attributes the decision to cost considerations, saying Samsung focused on reducing costs during design and component selection.

If the decision is final, the Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and the Galaxy S27 Pro the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.

Earlier rumors suggested Samsung would fit the S27 Ultra and S27 Pro with the Exynos 2700 in South Korea and Europe. Subsequent reports indicated the company was reconsidering that plan, with the Ultra potentially remaining Snapdragon.

The latest leak extends the Snapdragon possibility to both the S27 Pro and S27 Ultra in South Korea. By contrast, the standard Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ are expected to use the Exynos 2700 in most markets, with Snapdragon variants likely limited to North America.

The Galaxy S27 series is rumoured to debut in early 2027 with upgraded hardware, an improved Privacy Display on the Pro and Ultra models, and a redesigned rear camera module on both top-tier variants.

Samsung has not confirmed chipset allocations for the S27 range.
