A recent 3C certification suggests the vanilla Xiaomi 18 may still arrive this year and that the handset will support 100W fast wired charging.
The wider Xiaomi 18 Pro series was announced in China in September, and the company said the Pro duo is headed to global markets by the end of this year. The Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max are expected to reach some international markets as early as this month, but the earlier conversation omitted the non‑Pro Xiaomi 18 entirely, prompting speculation that Xiaomi might skip a standard 17 successor this year.

Certification details and earlier reports
The 3C listing runs counter to that speculation. It records a Xiaomi smartphone widely believed to be the vanilla Xiaomi 18 and specifies 100W wired charging, which would be unchanged from last year’s model. The certification indicates the vanilla Xiaomi 18 will retain 100W fast wired charging.
Separate, earlier reports have linked the handset to a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset rather than an Extreme variant, a 200MP main camera and a 7,200 mAh battery. The listing’s timing and the reporting suggest a later launch window than the Pro models, probably in December, and that timing likely refers to the Chinese release.

The screen size for the vanilla Xiaomi 18 remains unclear. This generation the Xiaomi 18 Pro is the compact option, carrying a 6.4-inch display, and the vanilla 18 is said to have a battery about 200 mAh larger than the 18 Pro. That difference makes it reasonable to expect the standard Xiaomi 18 to sit between the Pro and the Pro Max in overall dimensions, but screen measurements have not been confirmed.
