Updates to Apple's official website suggest the second generation full-size HomePod is likely to receive the new Siri AI interface. Visual changes on the HomePod product page, combined with revised imagery and descriptive text, point to an updated Siri experience on the larger speaker.
Apple recently showcased a range of smart home releases, including the HomeView smart display, a new Apple TV 4K, the HomePod mini 2, and the Apple Home Collection, and presented those products as compatible with an upgraded voice assistant. The company has not issued an explicit announcement about adding Siri AI to the full-size HomePod.
A user on the social platform X noticed the HomePod product page had been redesigned. The Siri visuals now use a new gradient aesthetic, and the top audio-processing light has been matched to the HomePod mini 2. In the Apple Store comparison, the image alt text explicitly mentions a "multicolor Siri AI light at the top," which strengthens the case that the large HomePod will adopt the same visual assistant cues.

Bloomberg reported last month that Apple plans to update the large HomePod, but the report left open whether that would mean a new hardware model or a software update for the current speaker. Apple has not provided further clarification.
The HomePod mini 2 will not include the Siri AI features at initial sale. Apple plans to deliver the assistant enhancements to that device by way of a software update after launch.
Availability and regulatory limits
Even as these assistant upgrades roll toward multiple Apple devices, regional restrictions will affect availability. Because of ongoing legal disputes between Apple and European Union regulators, Apple will not sell the HomeView smart display in the EU. Access to the assistant's new features in Europe is also expected to be delayed; optimistic timelines place availability at up to five months after the global rollout.
For now, the simplest change is on the website, where subtle visual cues and precise alt text have made the prospect of Siri AI on the full-size HomePod more concrete. Whether that becomes a software update to existing speakers or a separate hardware effort remains an open question attributed in reports to Bloomberg, not confirmed by Apple.
