The POCO X8 Pro Max pairs a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset with a 9,000mAh Silicon-Carbon battery, a combination POCO says produces more sustained performance and endurance than the company’s previous models.
POCO positions the X8 Pro Series around sustained real-world performance, offering two distinct models: the X8 Pro Max for users prioritising maximum power and endurance, and the X8 Pro for those who want high performance in a more compact form.

Performance and cooling
POCO cites a 3M+ AnTuTu score for the X8 Pro Max driven by the Dimensity 9500s and a 2.3M+ AnTuTu score for the X8 Pro powered by the Dimensity 8500 Ultra. Both models include POCO’s WildBoost optimisation for 120 FPS gaming and the company’s IceLoop cooling system on the Max, features POCO says are intended to sustain demanding gaming sessions and heavy multitasking without abrupt throttling.

The X8 Pro pairs its Dimensity 8500 Ultra with a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display to keep a smaller footprint while preserving the screen space used for gaming and multimedia. The X8 Pro Max targets more headroom for intensive use across gaming, streaming and productivity, according to POCO’s specification sheet.

Battery, durability and software updates
POCO says the X8 Pro Max’s 9,000mAh Silicon-Carbon battery is designed to deliver potentially more than three days of battery life under moderate use. The handset supports 100W fast charging and 27W wired reverse charging.

The company describes both phones as offering industry-leading IP69K protection and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, with the X8 Pro Max adding a metal middle frame for additional structural rigidity.

On software support, POCO states both models will receive four generations of Android updates and six years of security updates.
The X8 Pro’s camera array comprises a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor with optical image stabilisation, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 20MP front camera, a configuration POCO presents as sufficient for everyday photography without enlarging the device footprint.

POCO emphasises that the series is designed so users do not have to manage performance or battery life constantly, rather than to present a single definition of a performance phone across sizes and priorities.

As a commercial detail, POCO lists Big Billion Days pricing that reduces the X8 Pro Max from ₹48,999 to an effective ₹42,999 and the X8 Pro from ₹39,999 to an effective ₹33,999.
