Galaxy S27 Ultra measures: 1.28mm bezels, 4.69mm bump

Leaker Ice Universe reports the Galaxy S27 Ultra will have 1.28 mm display bezels and a 4.69 mm rear camera bump, modest changes from the S26 Ultra as Samsung readjusts space for a new sensor and a larger battery.

Trusted leaker Ice Universe has shared early measurements for Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra, reporting display bezels narrowed to 1.28 mm and a rear camera bump of 4.69 mm. Those figures are a modest change from the S26 Ultra, which had roughly 1.32 mm bezels and about a 4.5 mm camera protrusion.

Smaller bezels, but not the thinnest

The reported 1.28 mm bezel refers to the thin border around the display and represents a small reduction from the S26 Ultra's 1.32 mm. Samsung appears to be trimming the frame for a more immersive screen, though some Chinese rivals already show smaller numbers: the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max and the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max have bezels of 0.99 mm and 1.15 mm respectively. Any larger visible change to screen appearance may come from a new AMOLED panel and improved Privacy Display tech rather than bezel width alone.

Thicker camera bump and sensor details

Ice Universe's 4.69 mm camera bump measurement is slightly higher than the S26 Ultra's roughly 4.5 mm and a bit above earlier OnLeaks CAD renders that suggested 4.56 mm. Previous leaks have tied the S27 Ultra's main sensor to Samsung's ISOCELL HP6, still in the 1/1.3-inch class. The lens module itself could be physically thicker than the S26 Ultra's, which may relate to optics or light-gathering needs. A larger battery is also expected inside the same chassis.

These small dimensional adjustments sit alongside broader design rumors, including a change to a wider rectangular camera housing that stretches more across the back instead of the older vertical setup. The Galaxy S27 series remains on track for the usual early-2027 launch window, likely in January or February.

On paper the tweaks are minor, but they indicate Samsung is balancing a familiar design with the space required for improved cameras and a larger battery.
