Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross EV gets new batteries, price cut

Mitsubishi has revised the Eclipse Cross EV for Europe with new battery options and a €12,700 price reduction, adding a 67 kWh lithium iron phosphate pack and upgrading the larger pack to 89 kWh.

The updated model is built on the Renault Scénic E-Tech architecture and receives the same battery changes as its French twin, one year after the crossover's initial reveal.

The new 67 kWh lithium iron phosphate pack delivers a claimed WLTP range of 472 km and is the same chemistry introduced on the facelifted Renault Megane E-Tech.

The larger nickel manganese cobalt pack has increased in capacity from 87 to 89 kWh, raising the top claimed WLTP range by 15 km to 650 km.

Both battery packs support DC fast charging. Mitsubishi states 15 to 80 percent charging takes 24 minutes for the 67 kWh pack and 28 minutes for the 89 kWh pack.

Power comes from a single front-mounted electric motor. Output has risen by 5 hp to 220 hp.

Exterior styling is unchanged. The cabin keeps its previous modern layout with two 12.3-inch screens for the digital instrument cluster and a Google-based infotainment system.

European orders for the revised Eclipse Cross EV open in November 2026.

In Europe the mid-range model with the 67 kWh pack starts from €32,990 after government incentives. The long-range 89 kWh variant will arrive soon; the earlier long-range version remains listed at €40,490. The model originally launched in Europe at €45,690, which equates to the reported €12,700 price drop.
