Ram 1500 TRX SRT Rumbles Off the Line Early Ahead of 250th

Detroit iron with a heartbeat. That is the image Ram wants you to picture as the 2027 1500 TRX SRT quietly began rolling off the line at Sterling Heights. Imagine a plant humming, final checks underway, and a truck that has been hyped all year ready for its first road miles sooner than expected.

Ram confirmed production has started at the Michigan facility that has produced millions of its pickups since 2018. Dealers have been told the first units will arrive in the coming days. Will any customers manage to take delivery in time for America’s 250th birthday celebrations? Maybe. It depends on logistics, shipping and a little luck.

Pricewise this is no impulse buy. The 2027 TRX SRT starts at around €91,995, plus a handling and destination fee of €2,571. The launch Bloodshot Night Edition package carries an added premium of roughly €9,195 for exclusive graphics, unique colors and fancier interior trim.

Why this TRX feels different

Power is the headline. Under the hood sits a specially tuned supercharged 6.2 liter HEMI V8. It churns out 777 horsepower and 921 newton meters of torque. That is supercar territory in pickup clothing. The result is blistering acceleration: zero to 60 miles per hour in about 3.5 seconds, a quarter mile in roughly 12 seconds, and a top speed of 118 mph, or 190 kph.

But the TRX SRT is not just about straight-line bragging rights. Ram has bolted on a bespoke off-road suspension with forged aluminum control arms, tailored spring rates and Bilstein Black Hawk shocks to soak up rough terrain. Electronic locking differentials are standard, and the truck rides on 18 inch wheels that are beadlock capable with Satin Titanium rings and wide 35 inch tires to match.

Visually you can specify bold looks, including a two tone scheme with Diamond Black Crystal Pearl above a Flame Red stripe that sweeps over the hood. It’s a truck that wants attention and will get it.

Open the door and the interior flips the script on what a pickup should feel like. Leather surfaces and carbon fiber accents appear throughout. A dual pane power sunroof brightens the cabin. The dash pairs a 12.3 inch digital instrument cluster with a 14.5 inch center touchscreen. Audio is handled by a 19 speaker Harman Kardon system that fills the space with authority.

This TRX also carries significance for Stellantis. It is the first SRT Ram in more than two decades and the first off road product from the revived SRT performance division. That combination of heritage and new energy explains the price and the attention to detail.

Ram has opened orders and early buyers will be watching shipping notices closely. We will too.
