Samsung may deliver its most expansive foldable lineup yet in 2027, with tipster TheGalox saying the company could ship as many as six Galaxy Z devices next year, more than double Samsung's typical annual foldable output.
Lineup and form factors
TheGalox's rumored roster lists the Galaxy Z Slide, Galaxy Z TriFold 2, Galaxy Z Fold 9 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 9 Pro, Galaxy Z Fold 9, and Galaxy Z Flip 9. The tipster says the whole range is expected to see the improvements users have been asking for: better battery life, thinner designs, and lighter bodies.

The most unusual device on the list is the Galaxy Z Slide. Rather than opening like a Fold or closing like a Flip, it is said to use a sliding mechanism that expands the display outward. Samsung has shown similar sliding display concepts at Mobile World Congress, but TheGalox did not provide final size figures or technical details about the mechanism. Earlier reports had suggested a rollable phone might not appear until closer to 2028, so the Slide is a development to watch.
Having both a Fold 9 Pro and a Fold 9 Ultra alongside a regular Fold 9 would create clearer tiers within Samsung's book-style foldables, separating sizes, features, and price points. TheGalox also expects the Galaxy Z TriFold 2 to lead the year's launches, with the Flip 9 sticking to the familiar clamshell design.

None of these devices are confirmed by Samsung. Plans can and often do change, and TheGalox's report should be treated as a rumor. The suggestion fits with Samsung's recent push to expand its foldable range and explore new form factors, and we will have a clearer picture once more details start emerging.
