Nissan confirmed the 2027 Altima for the U.S., pricing the base SV at $27,790 before destination and handling and $29,065 with destination and handling ($1,275).

Kelley Blue Book data show the average transaction price for a new vehicle in the United States was $50,562 in September 2026, up almost 1 percent from August and up 0.7 percent year-over-year, just below the all-time record of $50,614 set in December 2025.

Nissan had faced reports the Altima would end after the 2026 model year. The company now lists a 2027 model year, though the lineup and pricing have changed.

The 2027 Altima is more expensive than the 2026 model. The 2026 SV began at $27,580 and offered both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The 2027 SV starts at $27,790 without destination and is available only with front-wheel drive.

Options and special editions have been trimmed; Nissan removed the SV Special Edition and the SR Midnight Edition.

The Altima SR starts at $29,190 with front-wheel drive and $30,690 with all-wheel drive, before the $1,275 destination and handling charge. For reference, the 2026 Altima SR began at $28,980.

Nissan continues to offer the Sentra at a lower entry price, with the 2027 Sentra starting from $22,990 before destination.

Nissan says the SV and SR "offer a range of comfort, convenience and safety features that enhance the driving experience, including the reassurance of standard Nissan Safety Shield 360, class-exclusive Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, and available ProPILOT Assist for more convenient highway driving."

The Altima also retains "class-exclusive Zero Gravity seats," and comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Optional and available items include wireless phone charging, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and Remote Engine Start.

All versions use the same 2.5-liter direct-injection engine rated at 188 horsepower, dropping to 182 horsepower with all-wheel drive. Front-wheel drive models are rated up to 26 mpg city and 36 mpg highway.

The sport-oriented SR adds 19-inch alloy wheels, gloss black exterior trim, carbon fiber center console trim, sports exhaust finishers, paddle shifters, Active Ride Control, Intelligent Trace Control and a sport suspension on front-wheel drive models.

Destination and handling for U.S. Altima models remains $1,275.
