Imagine a Q7 that arrived at the track with a razor-sharp grin and a stopwatch. That's the feeling Kelsonik's latest rendering gives: the new-generation Audi Q7 reworked into a hypothetical RS, hungry for the same corners BMW's X5 M and Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 are used to owning.

The makeover is bold but believable. The grille has been stretched upward, making the face more aggressive, while the central intake in the bumper is tighter and lower. Side vents have been sharpened, a chin spoiler wears blade-like fins, and the side skirts continue the theme with forward-facing blades ahead of the rear wheels. Small details add up: vents on the front fenders, a subtle tailgate spoiler under the rear glass, and a redesigned bumper with a sporty diffuser. Instead of the SQ7's quad exhaust, this vision opts for large dual oval outlets, and the ride sits lower, thanks to a tweaked chassis and upsized wheels borrowed from the SQ7.

A performance suspect you can almost hear

We know Audi Sport has no public plan to build a full-fat RS version of the new Q7. Still, the rendering nudges the imagination toward one obvious path: a V8 heart. The current SQ7 packs 591 horsepower (600 PS, 441 kW) and 590 pound-feet (800 Nm) of torque from its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, which launches it to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. In RS trim, you could reasonably picture numbers nudging toward 700 PS, maybe even flirting with 800 PS. That would translate into a shaved few tenths off the sprint time and a very different personality for a family SUV.

Picture braking hardware to match. The render shows up-rated brakes and a chassis set closer to the ground, clues that this imaginary RS wants to be driven hard, not just admired in a driveway.

So where would it sit against the competition? The X5 M and the GLE 63 are established benchmarks for fast SUVs that can still ferry kids and groceries without complaint. An RS-branded Q7 would need to deliver both acute handling and the kind of mid-range shove that turns motorway merges into micro-adventures. The rendering suggests Audi could get there cosmetically; whether the hardware would follow is another question entirely.

Art and speculation aside, this CGI does a smart thing: it highlights the design cues that would make an RS Q7 feel purposeful rather than aftermarket. Aero elements look integrated, the stance looks honest, and the styling errs toward function first, showmanship second. That makes the idea feel plausible, even if Audi never greenlights it.
