Valtra took a production-class T236 tractor onto Austria's Red Bull Ring and recorded a timed lap, drawing attention by running an agricultural machine on a Formula One circuit.
Track run and independent confirmation
The T236 completed a full lap of the Red Bull Ring in 3 minutes 36.4 seconds, with speed cameras recording a top speed of 87 km/h on the main straight. Red Bull Racing's Formula One team independently confirmed the result. The attempt was filmed in collaboration with Nokian Tyres. Valtra said the tractor was prepared for the event with dedicated suspension and technical settings for high-speed operation on asphalt.

Technical details of the T236
The tractor that performed the lap is the T236 from the sixth generation of Valtra's T series. Its powertrain is an AGCO Power CORE75 7.5-litre six-cylinder diesel engine. Key figures reported by Valtra are:
- Power: 245 hp
- Torque: 1183 Nm
- Engine: AGCO Power CORE75, 7.5 litres, six-cylinder diesel
Valtra has opened orders for the sixth-generation T series, and the company expects first deliveries to customers by the end of 2026.

Road limits and farm demonstration
Valtra noted that the 87 km/h top speed was achieved under controlled, track-specific conditions; the fastest road-legal versions of this tractor normally reach a maximum of 56 km/h. The manufacturer emphasized that customers will not be able to drive at the track speed on public roads or in normal field operations. Immediately after the Red Bull Ring run, Valtra returned the T236 to farm duties: the tractor towed a 12-row seeder at 40 km/h, a speed Valtra describes as very high for planting operations, and recorded planting accuracy above 95 percent.
